About Saeid Nouri Neshat

Eleanor Roosevelt:
“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly  and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
My professional journey has been rooted in working directly with villages and urban communities. Through years of practical experience in empowerment projects for poverty reduction and with environmental NGOs, I have come to deeply believe in the power of facilitation and local participation. This work has convinced me that sustainable community development and environmental conservation are fundamentally intertwined with people's active involvement.

A core part of my approach is built on the belief that genuine "interaction" within a group is what transforms a collection of individuals into a cohesive unit capable of defining common goals and mobilizing resources. This philosophy guided my hands-on work, such as facilitating the creation of community-based organizations in villages like Fereydoon Kenar to act as local facilitators for conservation, and it is also reflected in my book, Action Research and Local Participation for Conservation of Environment and Natural Resources.

I am starting this blog as a space to reflect on and share these experiences as a facilitator. More importantly, I warmly invite fellow practitioners, especially community facilitators, to join me here. Let's share our insights, challenges, and perspectives to learn from one another. I am open and eager to engage with your views and comments as we build this dialogue together.
